Snickerdoodles 1
cup (1/2 pound butter softened) Beat butter and 1 1/3 cup sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Gradually add to cookie mixture, blending thoroughly. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Roll dough into 1” balls then roll in cinnamon and sugar to coat. Place at least 2” apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a 375° oven for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool on baking sheet for at least 1 minute, then transfer to racks to cool completely. Store airtight. |
