2008 Cinderella Ball - Canaveral Squares Celebrating 48 Years
Bill Price was chosen as Prince Charming and Rosalie Turner was chosen as
Cinderella
In 1985 Bill was elected President of the Canaveral Squares.
The members were having a dispute with the club caller.
The caller wanted a “caller-run” club.
Bill Price said “No!” and hired another caller.
If not for Bill Price, the Canaveral Squares would not be celebrating
their 48th anniversary this year.
Rosalie is
also a long time member of the Canaveral Squares.
If not for her, our kitchen would not run as smoothly.
She is very much appreciated!
Cinderella’s
Step-Mother was portrayed by Paul Taylor.
The Step-Sisters (who fought over trying on the slipper)
were Richard Bradley and Dennis Taylor.
Judy Frye was the Fairy Godmother.

benefit dance for ARTS-Dance on February 9, 2008 as part of Dance America.

ARTS-Dance is an
acronym for the Alliance of Round, Traditional, and Square Dance.
Funds raised will
help finance a nation-wide effort to educate people
about the physical, social, and psychological benefits of these dance forms.
A number of similar benefit dances weree hosted in various regions
across the nation during the month of February.
The Canaveral Squares raised $855.00.
